Plastic Rectangular Tubs

Plastic tubs, also known as rectangular tanks, are containers made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE) or polypropylene (PP). These tubs are designed for a wide range of applications, including the storage and processing of chemicals, galvanization, phosphatization, as well as processes like fermentation. Thanks to their chemical resistance, UV stability, and durability, plastic tubs are ideal for industrial use, including situations that require additional protection against leaks or spills of hazardous materials.

Contact us

In addition to cylindrical tanks which can be horizontal tank cisterns and vertical plastic tanks, we often receive special requests from our customers who need rectangular tanks or rectangular plastic tubs.

The interest in these types and shapes of square tanks stems from the materials polypropylene and polyethylene, which are UV stabilized and resistant to chemical influences, thus having a wide application in the industry. The lifespan of such a tub is a minimum of 50 years.

They are most commonly used in the chemical industry due to their resistance to various acids, and are often used for lining pools that aggressive substances can damage or where there is leakage of the medium.

Rectangular Tubs – Usage

Plastic tubs find a wide application in specific industrial processes, as well as in sectors like transportation:

  • Truck tubs – Specially designed tubs used in transport vehicles for safely carrying liquids, chemicals, or waste materials, minimizing the risk of leakage or spillage during transit.
  • Plastic chroming – Tubs are used in plastic chroming processes, where plastic parts are treated with special chemical solutions to achieve a glossy, metallic surface.
  • Galvanization tubs – In galvanization processes, tubs hold electrolytes and enable the immersion of metal parts to create a protective zinc layer that prevents corrosion.
  • Plastic water tanks – Apart from tubs, plastic tanks are widely used for storing and distributing potable water, as well as for collecting rainwater.

Other specific applications include:

  • Nickel plating tubs – Used in nickel plating processes, where metal parts are treated with nickel solutions to enhance corrosion resistance and aesthetic properties.
  • Tubs for storing aggressive fluids and acids – Allow for the safe storage of chemicals that can be corrosive or hazardous, protecting the environment and preventing contamination.
  • Tubs for various types of fermentation – Such as tubs for pickling cabbage, where a controlled fermentation process is enabled in hygienic and safe conditions.
  • Phosphatization tubs – Used in phosphatization processes, part of the preparation of metal surfaces before painting, to improve paint adhesion and corrosion resistance.
  • Zinc plating plastic tubs – Serve for zinc plating smaller metal parts, providing a protective zinc layer that protects the metal from corrosion.

These tubs enable efficient, safe, and environmentally responsible handling of various materials and substances in the industry, adapting to the specific needs of different processes and applications.

Can Plastic Rectangular Tubs Be Moved?

Tubs can be designed as either fixed or mobile, with mobile tubs having wheels that allow for easy movement within the workspace. This functionality is particularly useful in dynamic industrial environments where flexibility in layout and access to equipment is required.

Size of the Plastic Rectangular Tub

The size and capacity of the tubs are tailored to the specific requirements of customers, meaning they can be manufactured in a wide range of dimensions to meet various needs in terms of capacity and space. Additional features such as fittings, valves, or measuring scales can be integrated into the design to enhance functionality and ease of use.

In cases where it is necessary, especially for larger or heavier-loaded tubs, the structure can be reinforced with metal profiles. This additional reinforcement ensures stability and longevity of the tubs, even under harsh working conditions, such as high pressures, large volumes of liquids, or frequent handling.

Thanks to these characteristics, plastic rectangular tubs become a key tool in metal processing and chemical management processes, providing a reliable solution that meets industrial standards of quality and safety.

Čabar Plast stands out in the production of high-quality plastic tubs, which come in two variants, tailored to different needs and applications:

Open Tubs

The open tubs by Čabar Plast represent the pinnacle of functionality and accessibility. Without a lid, these tubs allow for quick and unobstructed access to the contents, making them ideal for dynamic industrial processes where frequent material handling is necessary. Whether used for mixing chemicals, washing parts, or as fermentation containers, their open structure ensures maximum efficiency and ease of use.

Closed Tubs

The closed tubs, with their sturdy and secure lids, provide an additional layer of protection for stored materials. They are perfect for keeping sensitive or valuable materials that require protection from external elements such as dust, dirt, or potential contamination.

The lid not only protects the contents but also minimizes the risk of spills and leaks, making closed tubs essential in laboratory conditions, the food industry, and where handling hazardous materials is involved.
